Jewellery Reunited serial numbers are currently offered complimentary to all GETi trade customers and can be used for any items of jewellery whether GETi products or products bought elsewhere.
Simply login to your GETi account (trade only) to register your unique Jewellery Reunited serial number to cover the item you want to protect. Serial numbers can be registered as a standalone service through our site here >> (login required) or you can add the service on to your order if ordering a ring through our website, just tick the 'Jewellery Reunited service' associated on each product page.
Send your jewellery off to the engraver of your choice to have the serial number applied to your items of jewellery. For convenience, GETi are an option for engraving through our website, but you are free to use any engraving company and laser engraving is usually the option that achieves the crispest result on all jewellery metals.
Please note that the marking of your serial number is an extra cost and will vary from company to company.
What Happens if Jewellery is Lost?
If an item is lost it and subsequently gets found, the finder will no doubt look at the jewellery for any identifying marks, locate the serial number and web address and then visit the Jewellery Reunited website to enter the code to start the lost jewellery recovery service process for returning the item it's owner.
Various police forces, pawn brokers and jewellers are aware of this service and will know to check for details to help facilitate the return of the jewellery.
What Happens Next?
An email is automatically sent from Jewellery Reunited to the owner with details of the person who found the item of jewellery.
The owner can then contact the finder directly to arrange collection or delivery of the item.
