1. Object of Declaration

 

This declaration covers precision-machined jewellery manufactured by GETi Ltd. in the United Kingdom, specifically:

  • Titanium Series: Manufactured from Grade 2 (Commercial Pure) or Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) Aerospace-grade Titanium.

  • Black Zirconium Series: Manufactured from Zirconium (Zr), which is heat-treated to create a permanent, hard, black ceramic-like surface layer of Zirconium Oxide (ZrO2​).

 

2. Regulatory Compliance (UK & EU)

 

The objects described above are in conformity with the following UK and International legislation:

  • UK REACH Enforcement Regulations: Compliance with restrictions on lead, cadmium, and nickel content.

  • General Product Safety Regulations 2005 (UK): Ensuring all items are safe for their intended use.

  • Nickel Release Standards (EN 1811:2023): Both Titanium and Zirconium are inherently nickel-free and fall well below the migration limit of 0.2μg/cm2/week for products in prolonged contact with the skin.

  • Hypoallergenic Status: These materials are considered "hypoallergenic." They do not produce the allergic reactions typically associated with cobalt, nickel, or base metal alloys.

  • Removal in Emergencies: In the event of medical necessity or injury, both Titanium and Black Zirconium rings can be removed using standard high-quality jewellery ring cutters or heavy-duty bolt cutters. They do not shatter like Tungsten Carbide.

  • Maintenance: No special chemicals are required. Cleaning should be performed with mild soap and warm water.
