Individually engraved.
We work with titanium, zirconium, stainless steel, gold, platinum, palladium and silver. Suitability depends on the individual piece, including its thickness, shape, surface finish and any plating.
The available space also affects the size and detail of your engraving. We’ll help you consider lettering, artwork and placement so your design suits your jewellery.
If you already own the piece, please contact us with photographs before sending it. Let us know about any stones, plating, coatings or existing engraving.

These practical details help us understand exactly what you have in mind. If anything is unclear, our team can guide you.
Wording, spelling and placement
Supply your wording exactly as you want it engraved, including capital letters, punctuation and date separators. Include quotation marks only if you want them to appear in the engraving.
Check names and dates carefully. Tell us whether the engraving should be inside or outside the ring. For a specific position, an annotated photograph or simple sketch is helpful.
Choosing a font and fitting your message
If you have a font in mind, send its name. For a specialist font, we may need the font file and confirmation that it can be used. Any additional font cost should be agreed before proceeding.
Simple lettering generally works better in small spaces. As a guide, script lettering usually needs a ring width of at least 3mm, although the design and wording also affect readability.
Narrower rings may still be suitable for engraving, but very small lettering can be difficult to read without magnification. Ask us for advice on your chosen ring.
Artwork, crests and symbols
Send a clear PNG, PDF or JPG, preferably the original file rather than a screenshot. Fine detail needs to suit the space available on the jewellery.
Black-and-white artwork is the clearest starting point. In a typical engraving file, black areas indicate the parts to be engraved. Please explain which parts you want marked if the design is ambiguous.
Colour and greyscale artwork may need simplifying, which can change or remove some detail. We can advise before you prepare a final file.
Fingerprints and handwriting
Fingerprints should be dark and clear, with well-defined lines. Pale or smudged prints can lose detail and may not be suitable.
For handwriting, send a sharp scan or a well-lit photograph taken straight above the page. Keep the original safely and send us a digital copy for assessment.
Some cleanup may be possible, but the quality of the original affects the finished result. Contact us before retaking a print if it is irreplaceable.
Metal thickness, plating and surface finishes
Thin, plated or coated pieces need particular care. Tell us about the material and finish, and provide the metal thickness if you know it.
Our preparation guidance uses 0.7mm as the point below which only shallow engraving may be suitable. Below 0.5mm, there is an increased risk of engraving through the metal. These are assessment guides, not confirmation that an item can be engraved.
Engraving and subsequent finishing can affect the surrounding surface or remove plating. Depending on the piece, refinishing may be needed. We should discuss this before you agree to the work.
Please don’t strip, polish or otherwise prepare your jewellery yourself unless we have specifically advised you to do so.
Sending your jewellery and planning the timing
Contact us before posting your jewellery so we can confirm suitability and explain how to arrange the work.
Once agreed, include your name, contact details, return address, agreed instructions and any enquiry or order reference with your parcel.
Tell us early if you need your jewellery for a wedding, anniversary or another occasion. Confirm the current turnaround and allow for delivery in both directions before making arrangements.
